Kompanero, founded in 2014, specializes in a range of leather handbags that give a distinctive vintage appeal. The Kolkata based brand believes that leather is a timeless companion. Kompanero got in touch with Glad U Came in 2018 with the aim to create larger brand awareness and growth. The brand also wanted to highlight their unique and earthy handbags range through strategic press, celebrity and influencer engagement infilm branding and more.
We came up with a long-term strategic plan and figure the creative areas from where we could gain the demand and loyalty to the brand. We knew we had to look at new ways in which we could raise Kompanero’s profile and increase the exposure of the brand’s product range. They were largely covered by press and various fashion writers!
Kompanero was covered by leading newspapers and magazines in India including, GQ, ELLE, Grazia, Femina, Entrepreneur, AD – Conde Nast, Hindustan Times, Deccan Chronicle, New Indian Express, etc. Glad U Came also strategically gifted a small number of editors.
Glad U Came are the pioneers of gifting service and it is one of the most engaging services in terms of creating brand awareness and reach. We send across Kompanero’s products to Bollywood actors including, Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Neha Dhupia, and more.
We styled celebrities for magazine covers and events with Kompanero’s leather bags, shoes, and accessories. Celebrities including Ayushmann Khurrana, Raj Kumar Rao, Vidya Balan, Soha Ali Khan, etc. were spotted with Kompanero’s handbags at multiple occasion.
We did a number of in-film branding for Kompanero, which generated a great response. Films including, Pati Patni Aur Voh, The Zoya Factor, Total Dhamaal, and Mission Mangal were a part of our in-film branding process.
Kompanero received a lot of engagement from media, celebrities, and influencers. We created loyalty amongst celebrities, media houses, and influencers along with that we targeted a wider range of audiences. Kompanero is now available in multiple outlets in many cities in India
